On Saturday, May 9, 2020, William (Bill) Alfred Gallon, surrounded by his Earthly family, left for his Heavenly home. He was born on July 24, 1933 in Randolph County, Moberly, Missouri to James Alfred Gallon and Winnie Opal Gatterman Gallon. He was a farmer and a US Army veteran. He was a member of Bible Wesleyan Church of Graham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Dennis R. Robbins.
On June 17, 1965, he married Vera Mae Graham, who survives of the home; also surviving are his daughters, Rebekah Ruth Robbins and Rachel Gallon Lecates and husband Samuel; grandchildren, Brooke Stewart and husband Wesley, Holley Lavy and husband Brent, Madalyn C. Lecates, William S. Lecates, and Jacob O. Lecates; and great-grandchildren, Dennis Finn Stewart, Oliver John Lavy, and Jaxon Brooks Dennis Lavy.
A drive-in funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Faith Community Chapel with Reverend Brian Covert and Dr. Edward Lecates officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Gallon will remain at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville until the service hour and he will lie in state from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at the funeral home prior to the service.
