Mr. William “W.A.” Allen Bullins, 84, a life-long resident of Thomasville, passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 10, 2026 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. W.A. was born April 23, 1941 in Davidson County to the late Luther Bullins and Ola Bolens Bullins. He loved the outdoors and fishing. W.A. loved to sit on the porch and strip copper wires to make extra money and ride around to look for something he could pick up. He was a plain, square man and enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, W.A. was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters; and a grandson, Dylan Hayes.
Surviving are his two daughters, Judy Dean and husband DJ of Thomasville, and Betty Hayes and husband David of Lexington; six grandchildren, Destiny Stepp and husband Chris, Brittany Hogan and husband Treece, Hayley Walden and husband Jared, Tyler Cox, Isaiah Dean and wife Tharseo, Lauren Wright and husband Isaac; five great-grandchildren, Alaric, Oaklynn, Jace, Kora, Houston; his best friend Dwayne “Pops” Dean; and many extended family members W.A. will be miss by everyone who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville, with Rev. Bynum Orr officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hospice of Davidson County 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27295.
