William "Will" Edward Simmons Obituary

Mr. William “Will” Edward Simmons, 69, of Thomasville, passed away Friday afternoon, August 15, 2025, at his residence.  He was born on March 10, 1956, in Baltimore County, Maryland, to the late Carroll Simmons and Margaret Eichelberger Simmons.  Will enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and in his younger years loved to hunt and fish.  He was an animal person and never wanted to see them go hungry.  In 1992, Will married Mary Turner and they enjoyed 33 years as husband and wife before his passing. 

Surviving is his wife, Mary Simmons of the home; stepson, Eddie Stephenson of Thomasville; step-daughter, Virgie O’Neal of Thomasville; two brothers, three sisters, three grandchildren, Blake Stephenson, Brooke Steere, Evie Rich; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at the J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville, NC, with Rev. Brent O’Neal officiating.  The family will greet friends beginning at 12:00 Noon prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow the service at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery in High Point.  Online condolences may be left for the Simmons family at www.jcgreenandsons.com.
