Mrs. Wilma “Dean” Hyatt Hagins, 88, a resident of Thomasville, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at her residence. She was born on July 4, 1933 in Hazel Green, Madison County, AL to Louis Brady Hyatt and Willie Mae Wright Hyatt. She retired as a sewer at Kayby Mills in Thomasville and was a member of Oak Hill Memorial Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Leon Hagins on November 16, 2017, whom she married on April 13, 1958; brothers, Hoyt, Cecil, and Don Hyatt; and sisters, Opal Fowler, Versie Yeager, and Barbara Haach.
Surviving are her children, Kevin Hagins of Thomasville and Donna Parrish and husband Eddie of Lexington; two grandchildren, Eric Parrish of Lexington and Brad Parrish of Destin, FL; great-grandchildren, Justin and Luke Parrish; sister, Martha Hyatt Meherg of Baileyton, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Oak Hill Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Myers officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM on Saturday, one hour prior to the service at the church.
