Wilma Gail Myers Price

Mrs. Wilma “Gail” Myers Price, 80, of Thomasville, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at the Hospice Home at High Point.  She was born on August 22, 1945 in Guilford County, High Point, NC to David Coman Myers and Wilma Cynthia Kennedy Myers.  She graduated from Ledford Sr. High School in 1963 and was a life-long member of Zion Church Thomasville, where she sang in the church choir and participated in the Back Pack Ministry.  She was a beautician for over 20 years, worked in the cafeteria at Hasty Elementary School for 17 years, and was a loving caregiver for her father, husband, and brother for over 42 years from 1978 – 2020.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Willard (Bill) Price, Jr., on November 3, 2019, whom she married on September 26, 1964; her brother, David Joseph (Joe) Myers on December 16, 2020; and her sister-in-law, Jeanette Hallman and husband Richard.

Surviving is her son, Neal Price and wife Julie of Thomasville; grandson, Brayden Price of Thomasville; her brother, Ted Myers and wife Kay of High Point; sister-in-law, Carolyn McKay and husband Bob of Winston-Salem; her sister, Debbie Saie of Thomasville; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Zion Church Thomasville with Pastor Josh Sands officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM.  Memorials may be directed to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1803 Westchester Dr. High Point, NC 27262 or to Zion Church Thomasville, 130 Hasty School Rd.
