Wilson Rowe

Mr. Woodrow Wilson Rowe, 74, of Old Hwy 29 in Thomasville went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 11, 2021 at WFBH High Point Medical Center.

Wilson was born on May 18, 1946 to the late Corbett and Adele Ammonds Rowe in Columbus County, SC. He worked for Thomasville Furniture Industries for many years. Wilson was a man of faith, and shared Christ in his example. He attended Pilgrim Freewill Baptist Church in Lexington. Wilson loved his family, singing, church, gardening, birds, and God most of all.

In addition to his parents, Wilson was preceded in death by three sisters, Doris Jacobs, Myrtle Rowe, Juanita Jordan; five brothers, J.B., Rosco, J.D., Jesse and Ronald Rowe; great-grandson, Vincent.

Surviving are his six loving children, Edwinna Rowe of Thomasville, Jerome Rowe and spouse Melanie of Denton, Jeremy Rowe and fiancé Dawn of Winterville, Icely Hean and spouse Tea of Greensboro, Ashton Rowe and spouse Michelle of Greensboro, Brandon Rowe and spouse Donna of Lexington; mother of his children, Edna Faye Mills Rowe; six grandchildren, Katy Lambert, Jonathan Rowe, Kayla Bugg, Saunly Hean, Torsten Apt, Isaac Hean; four great-grandchildren, Khloe, Brantley, Brynnley, John Anthony; special friend, Elizabeth Byerly; many extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Pilgrim Freewill Baptist Church, 1653 E Center St. Ext, Lexington, NC with Rev. James Messer officiating. Social distancing and mask wearing will be observed. The service will be available by car radio in the church parking lot. The family will greet friends following outside the church.
